Vacation - Floridaaaaaaaa!!!!

2/18 - 2/22 A much needed vacation from work and especially the COLD!!! We flew into Ft. Meyers, Florida and rented a cool Mustang convertible to drive to Naples where we stayed the week with my husbands mom and stepdad in a brand new house and just recently furnished that they rented for a couple of weeks in a gated community right on Lely Golf Course. It was wonderful; three bedrooms, pool, hot tub, etc.! During the week we spent a day on the coast, first seeing Naples Pier and then the majority of the time at Clams Pass Beach. We saw so many neat things; dolphins swimming next to the pier, a shark caught by a fisherman, etc. The kids loved it and we enjoyed lounging in the sun:) Another day we went to the Everglades for an air boat ride out in the mangroves and got to see the Gators close up!! Oh, and of course we had to spend a day at Disney!!!! We went to Magic Kingdom and if we had more time the kids would have loved to go back for more:) Did you find the little lizard?

Miss MN Teen America Pageant - 2/16/08

My 2nd pageant coaching client, Megan Retzlaff entered the Miss MN Teen America Pageant held in Stillwater, MN on Saturday, February 16th. It was a small pageant and even though she didn't win, she learned a lot and had a great experience (In my opinion, she should have placed but that is the world of pageants). Different day, different judges, different outcome:)

Centennial Wrestling Club Tournament - 2/10/08

What a COLD weekend.....Brrrrr! But I ventured out on Sunday to sing the National Anthem at the Centennial Wrestling Club Tournament and had a great time! My pageant girlfriend Kris Mohlin set it up for me and both her kids, Justin and Alexis were wrestling in the tournament. I couldn't stay for long but did get to see her daughter Alexis win her first match of the day:) Way to go and they had such a great turnout too!

Early Saturday morning, I was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Centennial High School for a Wrestling match. It was fun and of course I got a picture with the Team!

Pageant Baby Shower - 1/20/08

One dear pageant friend (and karaoke singing buddy:) of mine, whom I met while competing for the Mrs. MN America Pageant in 2005 FINALLY got pregnant and I was so happy for her that I just had to throw her a Pageant Baby Shower. Nothing fancy, but we had a nice little get together with some other wonderful pageant friends made over the years. It was terribly cold that day but we had some great appetizers at Olive Garden and great cake to fatten us up for the weather:) We are all so excited for Andrea and her husband and can't wait to hear all about life's interesting adventures when adding a kid to ones life:) Oh....and I almost forgot....it's going to be a BOY!!
